    We're excited to announce our great line-up of bands for the Main Stage on Big Weekend Sunday. We think we've selected a superb mix of styles and genres, all with an upbeat sound to get you dancing and feeling happy! We've the lovely Georgia Simpson to compere the afternoon and the very capable Peter and Russell of King Street Studios to produce an amazing sound for us. The bands will be kicking off at 12noon and playing right through until 6pm.
  • Captain Stingray's Groove Machine

    We’re delighted to have this world-music infused seven-piece band at the Festival this year as their star is rising. Drawing from a variety of styles their music is upbeat, celebratory and doesn't fail to get the feet moving. Come and join them on a trip around the world featuring the sounds of the Caribbean, reggae, afro, funk, psych rock and more!
  • Venus Rising

    Named in support of The Venus Project's sustainable and peaceful global proposals, Cheshire band Venus Rising have had BBC 6 Music airplay and public support from Tom Robinson, Mark Radcliffe and Kim Wilde. Debut album 'Happy Daze' came out early May on Global Path Records. They have had rave reviews of performances and releases, and have shared lineups with Ed Sheeran and many more. Singer Sheena also collaborates with Texas based Josh Real, who has charted in iTunes. We're delighted to have the band at our festival with their summery optimistic music! http://www.venusrising.uk/
  • Sissoco

    Sissoco is a project specializing in West African music, using the Kora, Guitar, Hammered Dulcimer and percussion to bring the Griot songs of The Gambia and Senegal to life. You’ll love the colourful vibe and sound of this unique band, just right for the festival.
  • Lisa Ann Sims

    If you love Soul, you’ll love Lisa. Lisa is from Stoke and has been in the music and entertainment industry for eight years. She has performed at famous venues such as O2 Arena, Shepherds Bush Empire and the London Palladium; she has toured both in the UK and in the Middle East. Lisa Ann is excited about singing in her home town, just down the road from her family home!
  • Green Crayon

    You’ll love this two-piece ukulele and guitar act, Green Crayon who pride themselves in being the quirky side of the music world. They play a range of styles and music from modern contemporary and classics, to hip-hop and reggae. The duo have gone from strength to strength, moving from acoustic nights and gigs to weddings and the now performing at local festivals. With Jay on vocals and percussion and Ash on ukulele and guitar, there is always something to sing along to and tap your feet.
  • Reece and Friends

    Talented vocalist Reece has been singing since the age of seven and now aged 17 he’s well-known locally. Reece has performed up and down the country, including at the Manchester Arena and he has now teamed up with young guitarist Callum Lowe, a huge Beatles fan, and multi-musician Sean O’Dowd for Stoke Festival mainstage to bring an acoustic trio performance of well known chart hits.   • The Pluckers

    Long-term Staffordshire favourites the Pluckers are always a party and festival winner. The duo, Tony and Andy, have a super-extensive repertoire of the top chart hits from across the past six decades. Skilled musicians with great voices they are guaranteed to get festival feet tapping, and maybe dancing even, and you’ll be leaving with a grin on your face. An upbeat, sing-along, positive vibe band who always delight audiences.
  • Main Stage Presenter - Georgia Simpson

    Georgia has a fun personality which comes across in everything she does. With a background in dance, acting, singing. Compering and entertaining large crowds, as presenter she will bring her big smile and witty banter to the Big Weekend.
